Series Jazz-Brushes
Brushes are commonly used in jazz, blues, swing to create an unusual "groove" inherent in these styles. Brushes are not meant to be played with too fast tempo or "hard" passages. So they are rarely used in heavy music, except short music fragments.
Brushes let produce indistinct, faint and elegant sound, as opposed to short and sharp taps of wooden sticks. Only brushes inherent to lasing in time "sweeping" effect on snare drum (brushes held by light pushing on snare drumhead).
Most of drummers prefer metal wire brushes (classic brushes), but lately more and more drummers find plastic wire as a good alternative to vary sounding.
