Series Rutes

Rutes (germ. Ruten - rods) are a bundle of thin sticks of wood (rods) fastened together with rubberized material at grip. Often a rubber ring is put on the playing part of rute that by moving along rute can be tightened or weakened the bundle.

Rute let sound drums muffled. It is impossible to achieve a powerful sound even when playing in a fast tempo; they rather will break, because the rods easy to break partly when playing cymbals or rim shots. In this regard, rutes are a kind of damper and it could be useful when you to let the other instruments sound. However, the sound produced by rutes has its distinctive peculiarity: it dull and seemingly remote.

Rute have bad compared with drumsticks rebound, they a little yielding when playing drums, and play them requires practice.
